Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know which franchise I want before contacting you?

No, and most people do not. Arriving with a specific brand in mind is often a sign of good marketing rather than good fit. The first conversation is about your capital, your timeline, how involved you want to be day to day, and what you actually want the business to do for you. Brands come after that.

What should I have ready for the first consultation?

A rough sense of the capital you could put in and where it would come from, the timeline you are working to, how many hours a week you intend to be involved, and whether you want an owner-operator or a managed business. Nothing formal and no documents. Approximate answers are enough to make the conversation useful.

Is there any obligation after the consultation?

None. There is no cost to you at any stage of working with FranPursuit, and no commitment attached to an initial conversation. Fees are paid by the franchise companies, in the same way a recruiter is paid by the employer rather than the candidate.

What happens after the first consultation?

If it makes sense to continue, the next step is narrowing the field to a short list matched to what you described, then introductions to those brands so you can begin their discovery process. You review each brand’s Franchise Disclosure Document and speak with existing franchisees. The FTC requires 14 days with the FDD before you sign or pay anything.
